Somewhere between

 Beautifully written

Somewhere between

“ 10 toffees for 1 rupee” and

“1 toffee for 10 rupees”,

we grew up!

Somewhere between

“Ground may aaja” and

“Online aaja”,

we grew up!

Somewhere between

“stealing chocolate from our sister” and “Buying chocolate for her children”,

we grew up!

Somewhere between

“Just five more mins Maa” and “Pressing the snooze button”,

we grew up!

Somewhere between

“Crying out loud just to get what we want” and

“Holding our tears when we are broken inside”,

we grew up!

Somewhere between

“I want to grow up” and

“I want to be a child again”,

we grew up!

Somewhere between

“Lets meet and plan” and

“Lets plan and meet”,

we grew up!

Somewhere between

"Being afraid of our parents"

and

"Praying for our parents" we finally grew up

And as we grew up, we realize;

How Silently, Our Lives Have Changed.......

POWER OF YOUR THOUGHTS

 *POWER OF YOUR THOUGHTS*

A man who has gone out of his town comes back and finds his house on fire.

It was one of the most beautiful houses in the town! Many were ready to give a double the price for the house, but he had never agreed to any price and now it is just burning before his eyes.

And thousands of people have gathered. The fire has spread so far that even if you try to put it out, nothing will be saved. So he becomes very sad.

His son comes running and whispers something in his ear:

"Don't be worried. I sold it yesterday and at a very good price ― three times.

The offer was so good I could not wait for you. Forgive me."

Father said, "thank God, it's not ours now!" Then the father is relaxed and became a silent watcher, just like 1000s of other watchers.

Just a moment before he was not a watcher, he was attached.

It is the same house.... the same fire.... everything is the same... but now he is not concerned.

In fact, started enjoying it just like everybody else in the crowd.

Then the second son comes running, and he says to the father, "What are you doing? You are smiling ― and the house is on fire?" The father said, "Don't you know, your brother has sold it."

He said, "We have taken only advance amount, not settled fully. I doubt now that the man is going to purchase it now."

Again everything changes...

Tears that had disappeared have come back to the father's eyes, his smile is no longer there, and his heart is beating fast. The 'watcher' is gone. He is again attached.

And then the third son comes, and he says, "That man is a man of his word. I have just come from him. He said, 'It doesn't matter whether the house is burnt or not, it is mine. And I am going to pay the price that I have settled for. Neither you knew, nor I knew that the house would catch on fire.'"

Again joy is back and the family became 'watchers'! The attachment is no more there.

Actually, nothing is changing!

Just the feeling that "I am the owner! I am not the owner of the house!" makes the whole difference.

The Moral :

This simple methodology of watching the mind, That you have nothing to do with it.

Everything starts with a Thought!

Most of the thoughts are not yours but from your parents, teachers, friends, books, movies, television, and newspapers.

*Just count how many thoughts are your own, and you will be surprised that not a single thought is your own. All are from other sources, all are borrowed ― either dumped by others on you, or foolishly dumped by yourself upon yourself, but nothing is yours*.

*Sow a thought, you reap an action*.

*Sow an act, you reap a habit*.

*Sow a habit, you reap a character*.

*Sow a character, you reap a destiny*..!

THE WORLD IS MINE

 Beautiful Poem.

 THE WORLD IS MINE

Today, on a bus, I saw a wonderful woman And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and used a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I spoke to him, and he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it would do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
“I thank you, you’ve been so kind.
It’s nice to talk with folks like you.
You see,” he said, “I’m blind.”
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
      I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
Why don’t you join them, dear?”
He looked ahead without a word.
      I realized, he couldn’t hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I’d go,
With eyes to see the sunset’s glow,
With ears to hear what I’d know,
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I’ve been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

If this poem makes you feel thankful, please share it with your friends.
After all, it’s just a simple reminder that we have so much to be thankful for! Give the gift of love. It never comes back empty!

I have been truly blessed with some very beautiful people in my life. And this comes as a token of thanks !
